Looking Back on the Radio Festival at Monaco Média Diffusion From June 5 to 7, 2025,

Monaco Média Diffusion opened its doors to the public for the Radio Festival, a nationwide event celebrating the richness and diversity of broadcasting — FM, DAB+, web radios, podcasts, and digital formats. Over the course of three days, visitors had the opportunity to go behind the scenes of radio broadcasting, with exclusive guided tours of two iconic sites: the Col de la Madone transmitter in Peille and the Roumoules site in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Every 30 minutes, small groups explored technical installations — antennas, towers, coverage areas — and interacted with professionals in the field. Live special broadcasts were aired, featuring radio experts and shedding light on current technologies and broadcasting challenges. Guests also discovered rare collector's items from Monaco’s broadcasting history, particularly from the RMC era, and enjoyed live demonstrations of long-distance communication. The event, which was completely free, was a great success among the general public, tech enthusiasts, and curious visitors of all ages. It highlighted local expertise and helped transmit a true passion for radio and its transmission.
