Longwave broadcasting
What is AM?
AM (Amplitude Modulation) is a radio broadcasting technology that transmits sound by modulating the signal’s strength. It offers impressive range, especially at night, but can suffer from noise and interference. AM stations typically broadcast between 150 kHz and 1700 kHz, allowing them to cover vast areas. In short, AM is ideal for receiving long-distance broadcasts, with slightly less clarity than FM, but still reliable for essential content!
