FM (frequency modulation) broadcasting

What is FM?

FM (Frequency Modulation) is a radio broadcasting technology that provides clear and crisp sound. Ideal for music stations and high-quality programs, it ensures interference-free listening, unlike AM. FM stations broadcast between 87.5 MHz and 108 MHz, offering local or regional coverage. In short, FM is the ideal method for clean listening, with precise sound and no distractions.

The first FM broadcasts were aired on the French Riviera as early as 1964 by Radio Monte-Carlo from the Principality of Monaco. In France, FM radio broadcasting began in 1981. Since then, MMD has continuously broadcast from its sites in Monaco and Mont Agel, offering 21 radio stations across 30 frequencies. The coverage area, with excellent sound quality, includes the entire coastal region from the Italian border to the eastern part of Cannes.
